Welcome to the Leney School which hasn't been used as a school for over 40 years
but shows signs of some recent renovations to restore this unique Saskatchewan School
to it's former glory. This building is classified as a Provincial Historic site.
This was actually the 3rd school on this site. The original was a wooden 1 room
which was moved when it was replaced by a larger wooden school which burned down about
10 years later. The current structure was build in the 1930's and used until the 1960's.
I am unsure of it's future use but recently the wooden beams supporting the main floor
have been replaced with steel supports.
